Planning History
Planning for a new route between Perth and Mandurah commenced in the 1970s as part of the original Corridor Plan for Perth and continued throughout the 1980s and 1990s as part of the regional strategy for the South West corridor.
The route for the Mandurah Entrance Road was reviewed in 1990s in consultation with the City of Mandurah and included in the Peel Region Scheme when it took effect in 2003.
